Terms of Use
Who these terms are between
Tilly is made by Kairo. By downloading or using the app you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Tilly is distributed through Apple's App Store, so Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where the two disagree, Apple's agreement wins.
Your licence
You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use Tilly on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by the App Store terms. You may not resell it, rent it out, or try to extract its source.
Your data is yours
Everything you enter stays on your device. We never receive it, so we make no claim to it and we cannot recover it for you. Keep your own backups — Settings → Back up data, or Export CSV.
Premium
Premium unlocks unlimited budgets, your full history, recurring entries, multiple accounts, CSV export, Face ID lock and custom categories. It is sold in three ways:
- Monthly — an auto-renewing subscription billed every month.
- Yearly — an auto-renewing subscription billed every 12 months, and the plan that offers a 7-day free trial.
- Lifetime — a single payment, not a subscription, with nothing to renew or cancel.
Current prices are shown inside the app before you buy, in your own currency.
How the subscriptions renew
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically unless you turn off auto-renewal at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours of the period ending.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in the Settings app on your device, under your name → Subscriptions. Deleting Tilly does not cancel a subscription.
- If you start the free trial and do not cancel before it ends, the paid subscription begins automatically. We send a reminder before that happens. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
Refunds
Apple handles all billing, so Apple handles all refunds. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves, but write to us if something went wrong and we will help you sort it out.
Acceptable use
Use Tilly lawfully. Do not attempt to interfere with the app, work around its purchase checks, or use it to break the law.
Tilly is a notebook, not an advisor
Tilly records the numbers you type and does arithmetic on them. It is not financial, tax or legal advice, it does not connect to your bank, and it cannot verify that what you entered is correct. Decisions you make with it are yours.
No warranty
Tilly is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Kairo is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for lost data. Because your book is stored only on your device, losing the device or erasing the app means losing the data — that is what the backup and export features are for. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.
Changes
These terms may change as the app changes. The effective date at the top moves with them, and continuing to use Tilly after that means you accept the new version.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and without removing any consumer protection you have where you live.
